VIRUS :(

So as I posted on my twitter, I said I was going to blog at least once a day. Unfortunately that isn't going to happen until I get my computer fixed. My desktop (where I do everything youtube related) has a virus and messes with all my google account stuff, everything I work with is connected to my google including this blog. If I use my desktop I can't even get on here to post something, which is why I'm on my mom's laptop for a quick minute to annhunce the technical difficulties. I'm doing everything I can to get the stupid virus off my computer since I don't have the moneyyyy to drop and get it fixed by the geek squad or something lol. Anyways, if I get the chance to use my mom's computer again, I'll try to post up something new on this blog. Sorry guys ! Really I am ;( I'm bummed... blah!

Review: E.L.F. Everyday Eye Palette + Swatches

First off, I know not to expect too much from E.L.F. eyeshadows, usually they run a little less in the pigmentation department and have a quite chalky texture. Usually E.L.F. eyeshadows aren't recommended for blending either. I've been purchasing from E.L.F. for about 4 years now, so I know a little bit about their products. At first glance I wasn't really impressed with the color choices on this palette, lots of neutrals, then a couple random purples and a dark navy blue.
As far as pigmentation goes, all the shimmer shadows are decent. But for the matte colors, an absolute thumbs down. They also are very chalky and it's very hard to pick up color. One of the natural shimmer shadows reminds me of the color 'Sin' from Urban Decay. Primer is recommended if you use these shadows, but they aren't very long lasting so I don't suggest wearing it all day, maybe for only a few hours.

Swatches:

I would recommend this palette to those just starting out with makeup and don't know too much about it. But for those who've been around makeup and know about quality stuff, don't go for this.

Quick DIY Sugar Handscrub

So my hands have been horribly dry and chapped from this winter season. It's so bad that my hands are stinging under hot water and when they are rubbed with soap. Finally I wanted to do something about it with some kind of home remedy and this is what I came up with, using the knowledge I know of exfoliation and moisturizing.

Things you will need:

  • Sugar
  • Water
  • Moisturizing Hand soap
  • Hand cream/Lotion/Moisturizer
Before washing your hands put a little bit of sugar in the palm, add a few drops of water and a pump of moisturizing hand soap. Scrub the sugar scrub all over the back and palm of your hands. Then wash the stuff off and finish with any kind of lotion or moisturizer you use for your hands and you will definitely feel a baby soft difference(:
