Hello my lovelies! I was experimenting in the kitchen yesterday and craving for a dessert. We didn't have much ingredients for me to play around with, but I only used very few products to make these reallllllly simple & delicious chocolate truffles. Hope you enjoy (: This recipe makes about 10 3/4 inch wide truffles.
INGREDIENTS:
- Bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips (I used Hershey's Chocolate Chips)
- 1/4-1/2 cup of milk
- Almonds, cookie crumbs(I used Keebler's Grasshopper chocolate mint cookies), or any other type of toppings you would like.
DIRECTIONS:
- Simmer water in a pot and place a large bowl on top of the pot of water. Make sure the bowl isn't touching the water.
- Put about 1/2 of the bag of chocolate chips into the bowl, and stir the chips until they start to melt. DO NOT put the stove on high heat because you will burn the chocolate. Low to medium heat is suggested.
- As the chocolate melts, pour 1/4 to 1/2 cup of milk into the bowl. The more milk, the softer the truffles will be.
- After the mixture of milk and melted chocolate come together as one, stick the bowl in the refrigerator for an hour or two, or until the mixture has firmed up.
- While you wait for it to cool, prepare the toppings you want to roll your truffles in on flat plates.
- When your mixture firms up and is still soft enough to mold, use a spoon to scoop the desired size and roll into a ball with your hand.
- Then roll your truffles into your toppings.
- Store truffles in the refrigerator to keep them firm and if you want them to last a couple days.
Did those turn out to be crunchy or like really soft and chewy? Those look so good anytime I cook is a freakin experiment lol
